"There is no blueprint for psychotherapy. I respond to each client's individual needs, and together we begin the journey that leads to the client's own inner wisdom and healing."

Stephanie's offficeWith more than 25 years of training and experience, Stephanie Ezust uses a variety of methods to help clients reach their personal goals. She sees psychotherapy as a "safe container," a non-judgmental place for clients to confront their feelings and problems in complete confidentiality and without fear of rejection.

Dr. Ezust knows that no one psychotherapist is right for everyone. She encourages potential clients to schedule an initial, "getting to know you" session. The initial session provides an opportunity for people to discuss their questions and to learn more about the process, which can transform lives profoundly.

Dr. Ezust also understands that the financial commitment involved in therapy can seem daunting. She helps potential clients to compare the relative cost of treatment with the potential benefits of psychotherapy, which can include:

  • Empowering oneself, coming to awareness of one's own inner strengths and wisdom
  • Incorporating mindfulness, a sense of becoming fully present in each moment, into everyday life
  • Navigating life's transitions more smoothly
  • Exploring issues of deeper meaning and creating a more fulfilling life
  • Dealing with depression and anxiety
  • Recovering from recent or childhood trauma
  • Coping better with both daily and unusual challenges
  • Learning better ways to handle distress
  • Deepening emotional maturity
  • Creating healthier, more satisfying relationships
  • Ending self-destructive behaviors
  • Becoming more productive
  • Learning self-soothing methods that ease stress
  • Coping with loss and grief
  • Building confidence and self-esteem
  • Resolving seemingly intractable problems
  • Addressing women's particular life issues

Dr Ezust works with adults individually, in couples, and in groups. She also provides consultation and supervision for other therapists.

Stephanie Ezust holds degrees in Counseling (1976), and Clinical Psychology (1981 and 1990) from Georgia State University and practices as a licensed psychologist.

"Making one's way in an uneasy world can be difficult. Beyond easing the emotional issues that confront you, psychotherapy can also help you to become more fully present in your life. The process can also help people find more fulfillment in life. I would welcome the chance to talk with you about the ways psychotherapy can help you to remove obstacles in the path toward your dreams and goals."
